Niña Jose

Niña Jose is a young actress, student and 11th placer Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition.

She was born on August 26, 1988. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, Nina used to spend money like there's no tomorrow, until her grandfather died that is. Nina's mom was adopted but she was Nina's granddad's favorite daughter, so she also became his favorite granddaughter. Her lolo's real family resented it and deprived Nina's mother of her share of the inheritance. "It's really unfair because my mom really worked hard for them."

She witnessed how poorly her dad treated her mom while she was growing up. "She's a battered wife. Para kaming nasa action movie, where in e-escape kami then hahabulin niya kami. Tatakbo nanaman kami then magtatago." Her parents are now separated. Her dad is living with another woman and she has a half sister on her mother's side. "My relationship with my family is kinda err…complicated." Nina admits to the dysfunctionality of her family life. "I would always fight with my mom. Sometimes I even scream at her. But she always forgives me. I hate my dad because he always counts what he gives us. He's manunumbat, he's really annoying and feeling niya ang taas taas niya." Nina relates sadly. "I really want to help my mom out, one of the reasons I joined Pinoy Big Brother."

Nina has also worked before as a model for clothes and became anorexic. But after noticing her looks becoming miserable instead of glamorous, she started eating again. She sees herself now as a bit fat though and says she needs to lose weight. She has had her heart broken thrice but believes her true love is just out there. There's a lot more of Nina that even she can't count everything on her two hands. She's a self confessed bratinella. But is best friends with God and Mama Mary. She can cook. She can clean. Though she rarely puts those skills to use. She doesn't know things like isaw and betamax. She only knows that fishballs tastes 'masarap'.

Iza Calzado

IZA CALZADO

Iza Calzado (birth name Maria Izadora Ussher Calzado) is a Filipina actress, commercial model, and TV host who gained big attention in show business in May 2002. She's been compared to veteran actresses Hilda Koronel, Cherry Pie Picache and Loren Legarda in terms of acting. Her biggest breaks in Philippine showbiz include teaming-up with Argentine actor Segundo Cernadas in GMA Network's Te Amo, Maging Sino Ka Man and taking the role as Amihan in Encantadia.

Biography

Born as Maria Izadora Ussher Calzado, she was named in part after the legendary dancer, Isadora Duncan. Her father is choreographer and TV director Lito Calzado and her mother was the late Irish-Spanish-Filipina, Mary Ann Ussher. Iza's brother, Dash, is a member of Legit Misfitz, a Pinoy rap group.

In the late 1990s, she finished her high school in Miriam College and after which finished her undergraduate education in the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Fine Arts.

Acting careerBefore entering show business, she worked as a dubber. Iza started out as a guest teen star in the now defunct show, Click, which led to further roles. Iza won her first ever heroine role through the soap opera Te Amo with the Argentine actor Segundo Cernadas.

Amihan the Queen of goddesses in Encantadia was the hit character she marked in 2005 for the fantasy- driven market. In that tele-fantasya she worked with other Kapuso stars like Diana Zubiri, Jennylyn Mercado, Yasmien Kurdi, Mark Herras, Karylle, Dingdong Dantes and with Cogie Domingo and Sunshine Dizon in Kung Mawawala Ka. The success of her film partnership with Dingdong Dantes was realized in Moments of Love.

When it comes to dream roles Iza wants the offbeat ones just like a madwoman or drug dependent. Incidentally on her first two movies this year, Blackout with Robin Padilla who worked later in Joaquin Bordado, she would be drug dependent and "Mona" as a prostitute in Singapore.

For local counterpart she’s looking forward to working again with Piolo Pascual. They played an estrangeg couple in the flick Milan. Aside from Piolo she’d be thrilled to have a movie or TV project with Jericho Rosales, Dennis Trillo, Jay Manalo, and Victor Neri as she really marvels at their acting ability. But of course, Richard Gomez and Aga Muhlach would definitely be part of her A-list.

Calzado will be the leading lady of F4 member Ken Zhu in the movie to be filmed in Philippines, "Batanes: Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan" of Ignite Media Films, with director, Adolf Alix. Iza just finished Impostora and will be back to the country on September 23.

On January 18, 2008, Iza Calzado won the Model Star Award from the Korea Asia Model Award Festival. Freddie Aguilar received the Asia Star Award. Model Robby Mananquil got the Male Model Star Award.

Hollywood

Iza Calzado bagged her original role in The Echo, the English-language remake of Filipino director Yam Laranas’ horror film Sigaw. Calzado will be sharing the screen with Hollywood actor Jesse Bradford, who was last seen in Clint Eastwood’s World War II epic Flags of Our Fathers. Bradford will portray an ex-convict who will get entangled in the troubles of a battered wife, to be played by Calzado. Although she will be reprising a role that won her an Urian Best Supporting Actress award in 2005, she still had to audition. One of her co-stars, Carlos de Leon, asked her if she is Hispanic because of her facial feature.

Iza will also do a movie with Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera entitled One True Love. Shooting starts the first week of September. Iza Calzado wants to take time off from TV projects to concentrate on movies.

RACHELLE ANN GO

Rachelle Ann Go (born August 31, 1986) is a Filipina singer and a model. She rose to prominence after winning Search For A Star, hosted by fellow Filipina recording artist Regine Velasquez and called as the "Ultimate Champion" because of her vocal capabilities.

Early life and career

Rachelle was born in Manila, Philippines . Called Shin or Shin-Shin by her friends, Rachelle's interest in singing started at a very young age. Her father predicted even before she turned a year old that she was destined to be a Star. When she turned seven, she underwent vocal training and lessons and, by the time she was nine, she participated in her very first amateur singing competition and won the first prize, belting out Jennifer Holliday's "And I Am Telling You," in spite of being the youngest contender.

She joined and won several contests. Her television debut on "Eat Bulaga!," a hit noon-time variety show, happened when she was just eleven. She competed in the show's contest "Birit Baby" where young aspirants belt out vocally challenging songs. She ended up receiving the runner-up award singing Céline Dion's version of "All By Myself".

In 2003, Rachelle auditioned for a talent search show on television, Search for a Star. Rachelle passed the auditions and made it as one of the twelve finalists. On March 13, 2004 Rachelle was announced as the grand champion singing her rendition of Mariah Carey's "Through the Rain". Several weeks from winning, she collaborated with Philippine rap group Salbakuta for a cover of the Laura Branigan 1980s hit Gloria; she then released it as a CD single and became an instant hit. Rachelle performed the song with the group in the Malacanang Palace, alluding President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

On April 29, 2005, she earned top-billing on her very first major solo concert hailed as Rachelle Ann Go, The Ultimate Champion. Rachelle delivered an exceptional performance and the concert has received massive accolades and rave reviews. It was Rachelle's breakaway feat from just being part of the Champions Circle. In here she instituted her mark as a solo recording and performing artist. One of the most notable points of the show was Rachelle's take on Regine Velasquez's R2K Concert airborne act, where she was suspended in mid-air as she opened her show. Later that summer Rachelle reunited with her fellow champions for what was to be their last ensemble concert performance to date. The show entitled Pinoy Idols: Return Of The Champions is a series of shows in the United States. The two-month tour featured Rachelle with contemporaries Sarah Geronimo, Christian Bautista, Mark Bautista, Frenchie Dy and other winners of reality singing competitions.

On November 2005, Rachelle released her second album I Care under VIVA Records. The show's finale was aired on April 10, 2007, with ABS-CBN airing the Princess Hours: The Royal Special for two days, April 11 and 12, with both Bautista and Go as hosts.

The two remain to be friends.

Christian revealed on Boy and Kris that "he did try to win her back" but some situations occurred that he must first be a "Really Real and Good Friend".
