Anne Curtis








Anne Marie Ojales Curtis Smith, also known as Anne Curtis (born on 17 February 1985 in Australia) is a Filipino-Australian actress, model, host, and VJ.

Born Anne Marie Ojales Curtis Smith is the eldest daughter of Carmen Ojales, a Filipina and James Smith, an Australian lawyer. At age 12, they had their vacation in the Philippines but it later became permanent through Anne's discovery by a talent manager while eating at a fast food chain Jollibee with her dad and her mom in 1997.

Curtis appeared in supporting roles or in ensemble casts during the early part of her career. Anne's first movie was Magic Kingdom, where she played the role of a princess. Most of her early TV shows airing on the GMA-7 Network in the Philippines. in where she starred in shows like Love to Love, where she was partnered with Richard Gutierrez. She attended T.G.I.S (Thank God It's Sabado) during her teen life.

In 2004, she transferred to ABS-CBN. Curtis received her first big break in Philippine primetime TV when she was cast in the role of Stephanie Borromeo in Hiram along with Geoff Eigenman, Heart Evangelista, Kris Aquino, and Dina Bonnevie, mother of her ex-boyfriend, Oyo Boy Sotto and her close friend, Danica Sotto. The role was a departure from her earlier, typical, teeny-bopper roles, and positioned Curtis for primetime.

In 2005, her portrayal in Hiram led to her first title role as Imang/Fatima in the fantasy TV series Kampanerang Kuba.It was a remake of the movie, Kampanerang Kuba played before by Vilma Santos, mother of Luis Manzano who is her longtime bestfriend.

In 2006, Curtis returned to primetime TV as Celine Magsaysay in drama series Maging Sino Ka Man. she was one of the lead roles of Maging Sino Ka Man opposites, Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz,and Sam Milby. Maging Sino Ka Man was followed by Maging Sino Ka Man: Book 2.

In 2007 She became a part of MTV as a VJ on Gimme 10.

In 2008, she played the role of a goddess in the fantasy series Dyosa. She then became known by the name Dyosa. Her opposites in the teleserye were, Sam Milby, Luis Manzano,and Zanjoe Marudo. Before, she used to party all night but now, she said that she is too tired to go out. She has many projects to focus because she is a very in demand star nowadays.

This year, she's going to have a movie with Richard Guttierrez entitled Maybe This Time.

Angel Locsin








Angel Locsin (born Angelica Colmenares on April 23, 1985), is a television and film actress, commercial model, film producer and fashion designer in the Philippines.

Locsin rose to prominence after being cast as one of the lead stars in the fantasy-themed television series Mulawin in 2004. Soon after, she starred as the superheroine Darna in the TV adaptation of the Mars Ravelo comics. When her contract expired on March 2007, Angel did not renew her contract with GMA Network and signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN despite her booming career on the first.Her first project under ABS-CBN was the television series Lobo. Locsin recently starred her first box office movie under Star Cinema,Love Me Again, directed by Rory Quintos.

Locsin is now set to do a TV series with Sam Milby tentatively titled Only You.

Locsin was born in Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines. Her parents separated when she was fourteen,[citation needed] and she has since lived with her father, Angelo Colmenares.


Locsin had her elementary education in Bulacan and finished High School education at the University of Santo Tomas High School, Manila. In August 2007 she attended a short-course for fashion design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, United Kingdom.

Locsin was discovered by a talent scout while she was shopping at SM City North EDSA in Quezon City. She then auditioned for several commercials. She is supposed to be a part of the Batch 9 of ABS-CBN's Star Circle Batch (now Star Magic), but she failed to sign a contract because her father, Angelo Colmenares, did not agree.After a year, she became a contract star of GMA Artist Center. Locsin first appeared on Click, a 1999 teen-oriented program under GMA Network. Locsin was also included in the cast of Ang Iibigin Ay Ikaw Pa Rin which was starred by Christopher De Leon, Richard Gomez and Alice Dixson on the lead roles. In 2004, she also starred in All Together Now.

In August 2, 2004, Locsin starred Mulawin, was the primetime TV series that launched Angel's flight to stardom, she portrayed the role of Alwina and was paired with Richard Gutierrez, who played Aguiluz. It ended on March 18, 2004.

After Mulawin, Locsin played the role of Darna in GMA Network's fantasy television series (telefantasya), Mar's Ravelos Darna , a Filipina super heroine, with Dennis Trillo as her leading man. According to AGB and AC Nielsen, Darna was the first primetime series to reach a 47.1% rating in 2005.It also generated 52.1% rating, the highest rating achieved by any GMA-7 show by that year, on its fourth episode, when Angel transformed from Narda to Darna.Since then, she received several TV commercials and endorsements, film projects, lead role projects thus getting huge popularity in the Philippines.

In March 20, 2006, Locsin starred in another fantasy television series, Majika. She played the role of Sabina, the elder daughter of Ayesa and Garam which were played by Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi. She was paired with Dennis Trillo playing the role of Argo. It ended on September 29, 2006.

In 2007, Locsin starred in Asian Treasures with action star, Robin Padilla. Angel's role was inspired by Angelina Jolie's "Lara Croft: The Tomb Raider". It was the first Philippine TV series that was shot in multiple countries such as Mongolia, Thailand and China. It aired on January 15, 2007 and ended last June 29, 2007. However, this was Angel's last project with GMA-7.

On August 11, 2007 Locsin finally signed a 2-year exclusive contract in ABS-CBN. Angel was warmly welcomed by ABS-CBN executives including Eugenio Lopez III, Malou Santos and Ms.Charo Santos-Concio.Angel made her debut acting in ABS-CBN in Maalaala Mo Kaya:Pilat, where she was paired with Sam Milby.

In this exact episode is also where Angel won her first award as a Best Single Performance by an Actress in the recent 22nd PMPC Star Awards for Television.

In January 28, 2008, Locsin launched her first drama series (teleserye) in ABS-CBN entitled Lobo where she was paired to Piolo Pascual. It premiered with a rating of 27.7%.Eventually, in the end of the series, it got the highest rating of 33.4% in the nationwide ratings game conducted by NUTAM Ratings.The series ended on July 11, 2008.


Locsin first starred in films such as Ping Lacson Supercop, Mano Po 2, Kuya and Singles. In 2004, Locsin starred in the films Mano Po 3 and Sigaw which both included in 31st Metro Manila Film Festival.

In 2005, GMA Films released the film, Let the Love Begin starring Locsin with Richard Gutierrez, Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras, directed by Mac Alejandre. It grossed PHP 122 million on the Box office.Locsin also reprised her role as Alwina in Mulawin: The Movie with Richard Gutierrez.

In early 2006, Locsin starred her second valentine movie film with GMA Films, I Will Always Love You with Richard Gutierrez and directed by Mac Alejandre. She starred the Filipino horror film, TxT and in 2006's Metro Manila Film Festival offering, Mano Po 5.

In early 2007, Locsin also reunited with Richard Gutierrez in The Promise where their roles were considered more mature than their last film. This was her last film with GMA Films before she signed a contract with Star Cinema.

Locsin had also produced her own film entitled Angels, which was shown in theaters on April 12, 2007.

This 2009, Locsin will star her first movie under Star Cinema, Love Me Again The cast including Angel and Piolo Pascual had been training for weeks in Horseback riding at Manila Polo Club under the guidance of couturier Vic Barba and Mikee Cojuangco.The film was shot in Impasug-ong and Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Other scenes were also shot in Darwin, Australia. The title was changed from "Land Down Under" to "Love Me Again" since the latter is more romantic and more apt to the story of the movie. The film premiered on January 15, 2009.

In April 23, 2007, Locsin celebrated her birthday with Gabriela foundation, a political-sector partylist that support women and less-fortunate children. In April 20, 2008, Locsin set a gift-giving to the less fortunate children in Payatas, Quezon City and helped certain poor children gave food, clothing and their basic needs. It was her birthday gift which was supported by her sponsors.

Kim Chiu














Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu or simply known as Kim Chiu, (born April 19, 1990) is a Chinese Filipino actress, singer and model, the daughter of a Chinese father and a Filipina mother. Chiu was born in Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines, but immigrated together with her family in Cebu City, Philippines at the age of 3.

Chiu was the first Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother

Teen Edition, beating 14 other teenage housemates.The Big NightThe Teen Big Four dressed like princes and princesses in The Big Night: The Fairy Tale Finale of the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition. Local teen stars and the Celebrity Big Four attended the show. Toni Gonzaga, the original host of the show was back to host the event together with Mariel Rodriguez and ex-Celebrity Housemate 3rd Big Placer, Bianca Gonzalez. Clare Cabuigin of Bukidnon was fourth with 18.5% of votes. General Santos City native, Gerald Anderson exited the Palace Confession Room and was 3rd place scoring 19.4%. And first runner-up was the Ateneo student Mikee Lee, with 20.7% of the votes cast. Kim Chiu ranked first among the four with 41.4% and was named the Teen Big Winner. Included in the prizes are 1 million pesos (US$190,000), a condominium unit, a 4-year college scholarship courtesy of AMA Computer University, among other prizes worth 3 million pesos (US$570,000).

Life after Pinoy Big Brother: Teen EditionThe day after The Big Night, The Big Four already appeared in different TV shows. Kim, Mikee, Gerald and Clare together with the ex-Teen Housemates appeared in the Sunday noontime show of ABS-CBN, ASAP 06. The ex-Teen Housemates danced the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition's theme song, "Kabataang Pinoy" (Filipino Youth) by Itchyworms. Kim sang her song, Peng You. She wore a cheongsam dress with her hair set similar to Chun-Li's. Hosts Luis Manzano and Piolo Pascual announced that Kim and the rest of the ex-Teen Housemates are now part of the Kapamilya (Family, the name given to ABS-CBN talents) under ABS-CBN's Star Magic. All 14 Teen Housemates will be receiving management contracts from the network

In the afternoon, the four appeared in the Sunday showbiz talk show The Buzz. Kim admitted that she's dreaming of both becoming an actress and a singer. She also said that if given a chance, she would choose Gerald, a co-housemate and a close friend, to be her leading man. Mikee, a former partner inside the house, said he was fine with that explaining that he looks at Kim only as a special friend.

Later that evening, they staged Pinoy Big Brother: The Big Reunion at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City, where all the housemates from the Pinoy Big Brother, Season 1, Celebrity Edition and Teen Edition join in one stage. Kim and Gerald had the loudest support from the fans, naming their love team as Kimerald.

A motorcade was held on June 17 at Cebu City, which started from the Mactan Cebu International Airport and ended at the Provincial Capitol. The next day, Chiu became the guest of honor and performer at a concert at Ayala Center Cebu.

Kim is one of the new endorsers of Bench, a local clothing line. She was paired with Gerald in print ads with a caption, "Perfect Pair", advertising the denim collection of Bench. The pair then stared in an ABS-CBN television program Love Spell.


CareerKim Chiu started her career off with winning Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition being an early favorite. Chiu sang a Chinese song called Peng You by Emil Chau in Big Brother's house which means friend. Her popularity with viewers and an interest in show business led to acting assignments with fellow Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition housemate Gerald Anderson.

In the six months since the end of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition, Chiu and Anderson have appeared together in several shows on the ABS-CBN network, bagged several commercial endorsements, and appeared in their first movie, First Day High. Chiu and Anderson also appeared in Love Spell and Aalog-Alog. Their love team was named "Kimerald" by the fans, which is a portmanteau of their names. They marked their first anniversary in show business by their first starring movie I've Fallen For You which premiered September 26, 2007 under Star Cinema.

Chiu starred on her first primetime TV series entitled Sana Maulit Muli, where she is once again partnered with Anderson. The series started airing in the Philippines on ABS-CBN in 2007. Chiu is a member of ABS-CBN's circle of homegrown talents named Star Magic.

Kim Chiu is currently a regular performer on ASAP '09. She is the leading lady in the prime time show My Girl, the Filipino remake of the Korean series with the same title.

On January 2009 Kim starred in the TV series entitled Tayong Dalawa. This is Kim's third appearance on a primetime TV series. Kim is said to star in a movie along with loveteam partner and rumored boyfriend, Gerald Anderson which said to show in July 2009.

Nadine Samonte




Nadine Samonte (born Nadine Burgos Eidloth on March 2, 1988 in Rosenheim, Bavaria, Germany) is a Filipina-German actress. The daughter of a German father and a Filipina mother, she is an Avenger from the first season of StarStruck. She is lasted up to the Final 6 with Dion Ignacio, Yasmien Kurdi, Rainier Castillo, Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado. Nadine and Dion were the last contestants to be eliminated and the last avengers for the said season of StarStruck.

Shortly after the Final Judgment wherein Jennylyn and Mark won, she and Dion were cast to the third season of Love to Love, a Sunday twin bill television program. She starred in the series Kissing Beauty with Angel Locsin, Dennis Trillo, Cogie Domingo, Karen delos Reyes and AJ Eigenmann. Mercado and Herras were also cast with the second half, Duets for Love, starring Jay-R and Toni Gonzaga. After the season ended, she was also cast as the lead star of the new afternoon daily soap Ikaw sa Puso Ko as Sophia, where she was paired with Oyo Boy Sotto and James Blanco.

Later, Nadine and Oyo became real life sweethearts. Their love team achieved high popularity that film production company made a movie for them entitled Forever my Love, a gothic romance-drama. Also, their popularity urged TAPE inc, the producer of the soap, to produce another soap starring Nadine and Oyo which has a fantasy theme in it. It was entitled Leya: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae sa Ilalim ng Lupa (Leya: The Most Beautiful Woman Underground), with Nadine playing the title role. The soap lasted for four months, after that Nadine took a short break.

She received the "Most Promising Actress" award from the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation along with Dennis Trillo who received the male counterpart of the award. After resting for sometime, she was considered to play Darna (Angel Locsin was favored by the management) and as Richard Gutierrez's love interest in Sugo (Isabel Oli was favored by the management). After a long break, she was included in the second installment of GMA's seasonal afternoon soap, Now and Forever with their plot entitled 'Ganti' (Revenge). She was then dubbed as the afternoon soap opera princess. She proved her acting prowess in the said series. She had comebacking actress Sheryl Cruz as co-star for this hard drama. she played a major role in Marimar a remake which got her even bigger with its high ratings, After the short break she was then chosen to reprise the role of Hilda Coronel in the TV remake of Kung Mahawi Man Ang Ulap alongside Dennis Trillo, two months after the series ended she later replaced her StarStruck batchmate, Jennylyn Mercado, in the TV remake of Maging Akin Ka Lamang where she reprised the role of Dina Bonnevie, who ironically was the mother of her former boyfriend, Oyo Boy Sotto and Polo Ravales is her leading man who was Patrick Garcia's replacement..

Then, she made another film with Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras in the teen-romance flick, Say That You Love Me. She was also included in the comedy film, "Hari ng Sablay" with Bearwin Meily, Rica Peralejo and Jay-R. As Encantadia is about to end, she was offered to play Minea in the prequel/sequel Etheria playing the same role as Dawn Zulueta's character and the mother of the four Sang'gres. She ended the year, or rather started it, with the movie Isusumbong Kita sa Kuya Ko with action star Ronnie Ricketts, which was an official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival. She was also given her first villain role via Bakekang as Lorraine. Samonte left her character from Bakekang to focus on her biggest break as a superhero along with Jennylyn Mercado in Super Twins. Samonte used to be auditioned for the role of MariMar but she has given a role of Innocencia in that said series in which she worked with Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes.

Her recent soap was Ako si Kim Samsoon, a koreanovela remake, where she plays Hannah, a villain. After Kim Samsoon, she recently worked once again with Dennis Trillo, MariMar co-star Katrina Halili, Glaiza de Castro, Jean Garcia and Maging Akin Ka Lamang co-stars Polo Ravales and Isabel Oli in Carlo J. Caparas' Gagambino.

Before joining StarStruck, she was an ABS CBN talent at an early age of 13. Her Batchmates in Star Circle batch 10 are Dennis Trillo, Alfred Vargas, Bea Alonzo and Reggie Curley. Dennis, Alfred and Reggie later followed by Nadine defected to GMA where their careers soared higher to greater heights.

Jackie Rice














Jackie Sobreo Rice is a Filipina actress. She became famous after winning in the third season of StarStruck, a reality showreality-based talent search show of GMA Network in the Philippines.Jackie Sobreo Rice is a Filipina actress, dancer, and commercial model.

She currently appears in several GMA Network shows.

Her father, James Rice, is an United StatesAmerican while her mother, Vicki Sobreo, is a Filipina. Jackie (who was born and raised in the Philippines) herself attested to this fact during Magpakailanman's June 28, 2006 episode featuring her life story.

She ranked #54 in FHM-Philippines' sexiest women of 2006.

Denise Laurel




Denise Maria Sanz Laurel (born September 30, 1987) is a Filipina actress and singer. Laurel is a member of ABS CBN's circle of homegrown talents named Star Magic.

She is the granddaughter of former Vice President, the late Salvador Laurel, and the great-granddaughter of former Philippine President, the late Jose P. Laurel.
She is the youngest daughter of David Laurel.
She grew up in the atmosphere of famous theatrical personalities, so it was inevitable that she carved out a career in theater as well. Denise was about five years old when she landed her first stage role in the musical South Pacific.
She finished elementary school in St. Paul's College in Pasig
Her best-friend is fellow actress Maja Salvador.

Laurel was discovered by Star Magic's big boss Mr. M (Johnny Manahan) in a play of Repertory Philippines. Luckily, she was given a break to be part of "Ang TV 2", then she played Ina Raymundo's daughter in "Pangako Sa ‘Yo".

She then made a name in Singapore when she was fortunate to be part of MTV Asia’s "Rouge" which was shown all over Asia. Among the many who auditioned, she stood out and got the role of a smart lead vocalist named Pat. At the age of 16, her experience in working with other nationalities has taught her things that helped her improve her craft. After a season in "Rouge," Denise decided to concentrate on her local showbiz career.

She went back to the Philippines, not as a ABS-CBN artist but as a GMA artist. She starred on a teen-oriented show "Click", "Walang Hanggang" and "Leya" of TAPE Inc. and two telefantasyas "Mulawin" and "Encantadia".

She then went back to her original home, ABS-CBN. Despite a short separation, she has proven that indeed home is where the heart is. The Star Magic talent has returned to where she grew up as an actress, and she’s here to stay. Laurel was part of "Abt Ur Luv", and the 5th season of "Komiks", where she plays an "Engkantao". She is currently working on her debut album and is the newest addition to the Studio 23 family.

Pauleen Luna








Pauleen Luna (born November 10, 1988 in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipina actress and television personality, who is one of the hosts in the Philippine television program Eat Bulaga! and is well known as Baby Poleng. She appears in several GMA Network programs.

Luna started her showbiz career when she joined in the Little Miss Philippines contest of Eat Bulaga! in 1995. She then started acting at the age of 13 and becoming a member of ABS CBN's Star Circle Batch 11 before transferring to GMA Network. Her biggest break came when she got the role of Odessa in the second of Encantadia trilogy called Etheria. In 2006, she ranked #9 in the FHM-Philippines list of the sexiest women and was featured in the cover of the December 2006 issue of UNO Magazine. She is set to play an important role on the second Koreanovela adaptation in the Philippines, Ako si Kim Samsoon.She recently included in Luna Mystika opposite Heart Evangelista.

At her young age when she joined 1995 Little Miss Philippines of Eat Bulaga, she had her lost front teeth. Despite her teeth loss, she was able to join in showbiz until she had her teeth fully grown.

Luna's grandmother, Mercedita Jimenez, "Ka Baby," of Sta. Cruz, Manila, was shot dead by armed men in Manila, on November 5, 2008.

Carla Abellana
















Carla Abellana is a Filipina actress and model who will be playing the lead role in the Filipino adaptation of the Mexican telenovela Rosalinda.

She is the daughter of Rey "PJ" Abellana, a former Filipino actor of the 1980s. She was a student of O.B. Montessori Center in Greenhills from pre-school to high school, and a psychology major at De La Salle University in Manila, graduating with honor.

Abellana earlier worked as a model.
