Jean García is a Filipina television and film actress who hails from Angeles City, Pampanga and her real name is Rosario Maitim.
Jean Garcia is the eldest of five (she has two younger brothers from her father's marriage to her mom, and three younger half-brothers from her father's second family). She has two children namely, Jennica with actor Jigo Garcia, and Angelo with a Japanese businessman.
She has appeared in numerous "telenovelas" (soap operas) and movies. She started her acting career at the age of 13 but managed to relatively keep her privacy.
Her most famous role was in the teleserye Pangako sa 'Yo where played antagonist Madam Claudia Buenavista. She also starred in the first musical fantaserye (fantasy/soap opera) Kampanerang Kuba, and the cooking show Makuha Ka Sa Tikim. She has moved to ABS-CBN's rival network GMA Network and she played supporting and villainous roles in primetime shows like La Vendetta, Impostora, Majika and others. She is recently in GMA 7's newest telefantasya, Dyesebel. She will be playing Abresia in Gagambino.
She is recently FHM Philippines October 2008 covergirl. Garcia is set to play Sister Maria Belonia in Shake, Rattle & Roll X, which is MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) entry.
